As many of you know, this past Sunday was May the 4th - which in the world of Star Wars fans is a national holiday. To celebrate, I attended the second SuperBar event at Complex, in Glendale, California for a Star Wars themed night they called "Jabba's Party Barge" hosted by comedian and podcaster Chris Gore and his Kings of Cosplay Comedy crew and the bar's owner.
Due to an overabundance of birthday festivities the night before, the friend I was planning on going with was unable to attend - so instead, I brought one of the loves of my life - my Canon SLR.
Before I get to the part where I show you all the photos, I have to say this - I am never not amazed by the talent and creativity that fans put into their costumes - even for just a one night. Its inspiring. Even those who just "threw something together" (much like myself - whose own "Hannah Solo" costume was based simply on the fact that I already owned GoldBubble leggings designed on Han Solo's signature Corellian Bloodstripe pants) looked fantastic. Once again, our SuperBar hosts put on a great party - complete with a costume contest - which was won by what may very well have been the sexiest Ewok I've ever seen.

If you live in the LA area, I highly suggest you come out to the next event - SuperBar is quickly becoming a favorite night for geeks and non-geeks alike to raise some of the tasty themed cocktails, delicious micro-brews on tap at Complex and generally have a silly good time.
